Studio Editor enables direct on-page editing, translating and typesetting, privately or collaboratively. Studio members and collaborators can open the Editor by clicking on a chapter they have access to.

Editor is a collaborative workspace for studio members and collaborators to edit or localize chapter files.
Editor can only be used on the desktop version of INKR Studio. The mobile web only supports viewing. </aside>

Original File

This section displays the original files that studio members have uploaded. If hosting is done without localization, the original files will be displayed in the center of the Editor.

Working Canvas

This section displays the cleaned version of the original files. When the Editor is first opened, the original files are processed to generate metadata, such as frames, bubble masks, faces, and transcription. The transcription that can be auto-detected is then extracted from the file within the Working Canvas. Users can select text boxes on the cleaned version to begin translating.

Users can add additional text boxes and graphic objects to the file on this Working canvas.

This sidebar contextually displays the details and editing options of user’s currently selected element on the Working Canvas.

Toolbar

This toolbar contains:

Tool section: includes Select tool, Add Text tool, Add Graphic tool, Comment and Plugins
Navigation: includes Project name, Chapter name and the options to jump to other chapters
Active users: includes an overview of currently active studio members and collaborators
Other view options, keyboard shortcuts and guides
