Apply Glossary for Translation

If a text has been defined in your project's glossary, it will be highlighted in blue within the Editor's Translation panel when you select a text box to translate.

To apply your predefined translations from the glossary, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the blue text. A popup showing all your predefined translation will appear.

  2. Click on the Copy icon next to the translation that you want to use.

To view Glossary, follow these steps:

  1. Go to a project page.
  2. In the Localization Resource panel on the right side of the project page, click on the “Glossary” option. The Glossary drawer will appear on the right side of the screen.

Create a New Glossary Entry

From Project page

To create a new entry from the Project page, follow these steps:

  1. Go to a project page.
  2. In the Localization Resource panel on the right side of the project page, click on the “Glossary” option. The Glossary drawer will appear on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click on the “Create Entry” button located at the top right of the Glossary drawer. The “Create New Entry” drawer will appear on top of the “Glossary” drawer.
  4. Fill in the required fields.
  5. If your entry has multiple translations, click on the “Add Translation” to create more translations.
  6. Click the “Create” button on the top right of the “Create New Entry” drawer to confirm entry creation.

From Editor

To create a new entry, follow these steps:

  1. Open the chapter Editor.
  2. Click on any text-box on the Working Canvas. The Translation Panel will appear in the right-hand Editing Sidebar.
  3. In the Translation Panel, highlight any text that you want to define as a new entry. A Project Glossary popup will appear right above the highlighted text.
  4. Click the “Define…” option in the popup. The “Create New Entry” modal will appear on the screen.
  5. Fill in the required fields.
  6. If your entry has multiple translations, click on the “Add Translation” to create more translations.
  7. Click the “Create” button on the bottom right of the “Create New Entry” modal to confirm entry creation.

Import a Glossary Entry

To import an entry, follow these steps:

  1. Go to a project page.
  2. In the Localization Resource panel on the right side of the project page, click on the “Glossary” option. The Glossary drawer will appear on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click on the “…” button located at the top right of the Glossary drawer.
  4. Click on the “Import” option in the menu. The “Import CSV” modal will appear on the screen.
  5. Follow the Glossary CSV Template to create your entry outside of INKR Studio.
  6. Drag and drop your CSV file to the “Import CSV” modal.
  7. Click “Import” to confirm.

Export a Glossary Entry

To export an entry, follow these steps:

  1. Go to a project page.
  2. In the Localization Resource panel on the right side of the project page, click on the “Glossary” option. The Glossary drawer will appear on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click on the “…” button located at the top right of the Glossary drawer.
  4. Click on the “Export” option in the menu. The CSV file will immediately be downloaded to your computer.

Delete Glossary Entries

Delete a Glossary Entry

To delete an entry, follow these steps:

  1. Go to a project page.
  2. In the Localization Resource panel on the right side of the project page, click on the “Glossary” option. The Glossary drawer will appear on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click on the Trash Bin button on the right side of the entry you want to delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion of the entry.

Delete Multiples Glossary Entry

To delete multiple entries, follow these steps:

  1. Go to a project page.
  2. In the Localization Resource panel on the right side of the project page, click on the “Glossary” option. The Glossary drawer will appear on the right side of the screen.
  3. Select the entries you want to delete by clicking on the checkboxes on the left side of those entries.
  4. Click on the red “Delete Entries” button located at the top right corner of the Drawer, above the entry list.
  5. Confirm the deletion of those entries.
