Add File in Editor
To add a file to an existing chapter in Editor, follow these steps:

Open the chapter Editor.

To add a new file, click on the "+" button at the bottom of the File List panel on the left side of the Editor, or right-click on any file and select "Add File" from the menu.. The “Add File” modal will appear on the screen.

Click to select a file, or drag and drop one image at a time.

Click on the “Upload” button located at the bottom of the “Add File” modal to confirm the upload.

đź’ˇ By default, the newly added file will be placed at the end of the file list. If you need to reorder files, refer to the instructions below.

Reorder Files
To reorder files in Editor, follow these steps:
- Open the chapter Editor.
- In the File List panel on the leftmost side of the Editor, drag a file and drop it into the desired position.
Edit an Original File

đź’ˇ This function allows you to make changes to your original file. This is usually helpful when automatic cleaning or redrawing does not work as expected.

To edit a file in Editor, follow these steps:
- Open the chapter Editor.
- Right-click on it within the File List panel located on the leftmost side of the Editor.
- Select the "Edit" option from the menu. This will launch an in-browser image editor that works similarly to Photoshop.
- Make the desired changes to the original file, similar to the way you would in Photoshop.
- After finishing your changes, click the "Save" button located at the top right corner of the screen.
Delete an Original File
To delete a file in Editor, follow these steps:
- Open the chapter Editor.
- Right-click on it within the File List panel located on the leftmost side of the Editor.
- Select the "Delete" option from the menu. A confirmation modal will appear on the screen.
- Click on the “OK” button in the modal to confirm.
Resolve issues with metadata
When metadata is not properly extracted
To re-extract metadata from a file in Editor, follow these steps:
- In the File List panel located on the leftmost side of the Editor, click on the file with metadata issues to select it.
- To run the extraction process again, click on the "Refresh" icon in the Metadata section of the Editing sidebar located on the right side of the Editor.

đź’ˇ If the metadata is still not being extracted as desired, refer to the "Edit an Original File" section above.
If the transcription text-boxes are incorrectly detected, refer to the instructions below.

When text-boxes are incorrectly detected
If auto-extraction fails to detect a text-box:
Follow these steps to resolve:
- Click on the "Add Text" tool located on the left side of the top Toolbar in the Editor.
- In the Original File panel, draw a text box around the text that was not automatically extracted. This will prompt the editor to rescan the area and transcribe any missing text.
If auto-extraction splits one text box into multiple ones:
Follow these steps to resolve:
- Hold down the Shift key + click on all the text-boxes that you wish to merge.
- To merge the selected text boxes into one, press the "M" key, or right-click on any of the selected text boxes and choose the "Merge" option from the menu.
If there are redundant text-boxes detected automatically:
Follow these steps to resolve:
- Select the redundant text box that you want to delete.
- Hit the “Delete” key. This will also remove the redundant transcription in the Translation tab within the Editing sidebar.
