Link a text-box with a bubble

<aside> 💡 When a text box is linked to a bubble, it can take on the shape of the bubble, allowing for more advanced text layout.

To link a text-box to a bubble, follow these steps:

1. In the Studio Editor, click on the text box that you want to link with a bubble.
2. On the right-hand sidebar, choose “Bubble” Fit Type.
3. Click on “Select” bubble to open the bubble selection popover.
4. Draw a rectangle around the bubble area in the popover to generate the bubble area.

Text Layout

To edit text layout, follow these steps:

1. In the Studio Editor, click on a text box.

2. On the Editing Sidebar, select Typesetting.

3. You will see options for text layout, such as Manual or Auto.

4. Within each option, you can adjust the background, fit type, and other settings to customize the text layout.

   About Auto vs. Manual text layout

   Manual Layout:

   Manual layout allows users to manually typeset. When this option is selected, you can:

   • Freely adjust the position of the text box, change its text style, and rotate it.
   • Choose among 3 different types of background fill: Transparent, Color, or In-painting. The In-painting option ensures that the text box's background is seamlessly redrawn to match the page's background.

   Auto Layout:

   Auto layout means Editor will attempt to automatically calculate a suitable text size and layout to fit a translated text into its designated area.

   When there is a bubble linked to the text-box:

   You can choose between 2 fit types: Bubble or Rectangle.

   • When Bubble fit type is selected, text area will fill the entire bubble’s shape. You cannot reposition or rotate the text-box. You can only adjust the text style to a certain extent that still allows it to fit into the bubble area.
   • When Rectangle fit type is selected, text area will be a rectangle, and you can adjust all values of the text-box as you would in Manual Layout.

   When there is no bubble mask linked to the text-box:

   You can only choose the "Rectangle" fit type and adjust all values of the text box as you would in manual layout.

Text Object

To adjust the position of a text object, follow these steps:

1. Select the text object.
2. Hover over the text box that you want to move.
3. Click and drag the text box to adjust its position.

To adjust the size of a text object, follow these steps:

1. Select the text object.
2. Hover on the edge the text box that you want to resize.
3. Click and drag the text box to adjust its size.

To adjust the rotation of a text object, follow these steps:

1. Select the text object.
2. Hover over the top anchor of the text box that you want to rotate.
3. Click and drag the text box to adjust its rotation.

Adjust Text Style

To adjust text style of a text object, follow these steps:

1. Select the text object.
2. On the right sidebar, you can edit text properties such as font-family, text color, line height…

You can create text presets for commonly used text styles. This feature helps ensure consistency and improves the quality of your localization.
